info created the topic: Cold experiment with Schlumbergera microsphaerica
This winter i have tried to keep some rooted cuttings of Schlumbergera microsphaerica in a unheated greenhouse. They were exposed to full light (sun). We had a pretty warm winter and the temperature did not get below -8 Celsius. The mineral soil we are using was wet througout the period. At this time second half of february the plants seem quit ok. As they originate from higher levels above ~2000 meter this is not that much of a suprise, but good to see that they can withstand in cold wet conditions. Two separate clones were tried. I have added a picture of both of them (picture taken at the 15th of february, northen hemisphere).
